Hi Bob, I think that you’re great! I love your style, and your courses, and I just wanted to say: I Like You. regards Jim T.

Hi Bob and all you other likable folks!

I considered 7 people that I especially liked for this exercise. They had many of the qualities listed below in common.

    Easily smile and laugh
    Diplomatic
    Comfortable with them
    Trustworthy
    Love their families
    Gregarious
    Dependable
    Fun
Do their very best at any task given to them
    Encouraging
    Interested
    Speak well of others

I noticed a common thread….they all are pleasant to be around, positive, happy people who love helping others.

people I like are consistently happy to see me and let me know with a smile. They are interested in me. They point out my strengths. They are honest. They share their life with me.

    hi bob,
body language and facial expressions are huge for me. and that conversations should flow. if it takes so much energy that it drains me to talk to someone, i will just pull away. also i find if someone doesn’t ask any questions but just talks about themselves, not likable.

    Bob:

First of all thank you for sharing with us at the GO! Network session last Tuesday in St. Louis, MO. You are crisp, refreshing, and yes– very likable!

I noticed these characteristics of the people I liked:

    Easy-going, “laid back”
    They welcome me
    Non- critical; complimentary
    Respectful
    Pleasant
    Helpful
    Good listeners

Terrific idea for an exercise. I loved it! I can’t help liking people who can make me laugh — or even smile for that matter. Add to that people who are kind without being cloying, trustworthy and authentic.
